LifeSTATE Spine: More Than Back Pain Support

Adrienn with the LifeSTATE Spine board at LifeSTATE Clinic in Nelson

Quick takeaway

LifeSTATE Spine is an assessment-led, personalised movement programme designed to support spinal mobility, posture, strength, and confidence over time. It is not a one-size-fits-all exercise routine. We assess first, build the programme around the person, develop it gradually, and reassess as the body changes.

Most people start thinking about their spine when something hurts. A stiff lower back, a recurring ache, or a feeling that movement is becoming harder can quickly bring spinal health into focus.

But your spine is part of every day — when you sit, walk, lift, work, train, rest, and adapt to change. Supporting spinal function is not only about responding to pain. It can also be about posture, mobility, strength, movement confidence, and keeping your body ready for the life you want to live.

You don't need back pain to have a reason to look after spinal function.

What is LifeSTATE Spine?

LifeSTATE Spine is a structured programme developed by LifeSTATE around one simple idea:

Every spine is different. Every programme should reflect the person.

The approach has roots in Adrienn’s experience with spinal movement methods, including Evminov-based training, but LifeSTATE Spine is its own evolving LifeSTATE system.

Adrienn, Manual & Movement Specialist & Lifestyle Mentor, combines those foundations with assessment, personalised progression, movement awareness, and a wider view of how the whole body supports spinal function.

The aim is not to chase one “ideal” posture or give everyone the same exercises. We look at the person in front of us — their movement, daily demands, history, current capacity, and goals.

That is why the starting point matters.

Assess. Personalise. Develop. Reassess.

This four-step process is the foundation of LifeSTATE Spine.

Assess. We first look at how you move, where movement feels limited, how you use your trunk and spine, and what you want to improve.

Personalise. Your programme is selected and adjusted around your current ability. The movements, resistance, positions, and progression are not chosen from a generic template.

Develop. As your confidence and capacity grow, the programme can progress with you. The focus is gradual development rather than pushing through discomfort or rushing to the next level.

Reassess. Bodies change. Workloads change. Goals change. Reassessment helps us decide what still serves you and what may need to be adapted.

Assess. Personalise. Develop. Reassess.

Who is LifeSTATE Spine for?

LifeSTATE Spine may be useful for people who already experience back stiffness, recurring discomfort, reduced mobility, or uncertainty around movement.

But it is not only for people in pain.

It may also suit someone who sits for long hours, does physical work, wants to improve posture awareness, is returning to activity, wants more confidence around spinal movement, or simply wants to take a proactive approach to body care.

For younger people, adults, and older clients, the goals may be very different. That is exactly why the programme begins with assessment rather than assumptions.

If you have significant, new, or unexplained symptoms, appropriate medical advice may be needed before beginning a new movement programme.

More than a back-pain programme

At LifeSTATE, we see spinal care as part of a bigger picture.

Your spine works alongside your hips, ribs, shoulders, breathing, strength, balance, and everyday movement habits. Looking at spinal function may therefore be worthwhile even when pain is not the main concern.

Sometimes the goal is to regain movement after a difficult period. Sometimes it is to maintain what already works well. Sometimes it is to develop strength or confidence. Sometimes it is simply to adapt to a changing body or changing life.

That is why LifeSTATE Spine is designed as a process, not a quick intervention.

Support your spine for the life you want to live.

If you are curious about your spinal function, posture, mobility, or movement confidence, LifeSTATE Spine offers a personalised place to begin.
